Frequently Asked Questions

How are our watercolors made?
Our watercolors are handcrafted according to a traditional recipe from premium mineral pigments, pure gum arabic crystals, local organic honey, distilled water, glycerine and clove essential oil. There are no other additives or fillers.
Watercolors are mulled by hand on a glass slab. Each pan is hand poured multiple times and dries for at least three weeks. -
Is mineral watercolor paint different from the other produced from man-made pigments?
Yes. Mineral pigments are not as bright and saturated as synthetic pigments. Some of them especially Greens Earths does not have big tint strength.
They are not transparent. Most of them are Semi-Opaque.
They are perfect for painting nature, autumns and will give antique look of your paintings. It is very easy to create a color harmony with them. -
Are the colors on the color charts the real colors?
We do our best to represent the real colors on the images in the listing. Due to the different screen adjustments every customer can see them brighter, saturated, lighter, darker, etc. It is out of our control.
